Ophéa Sàrl is an IT Engineering Services and Consulting company based in Romandy, the french-speaking part of Switzerland, and serves the area of Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg and Neuchatel.

History

In the early 2000s, Internet services were provided much like IT services in the 1980s: technologies were not yet fully mature and real skills rather rare, only large companies could afford to internalize skills and SMEs had to be satisfied with best effort services, with the associated problems and service interruptions.

Ophéa was born out of this need for professional services in the field of the Internet and was among the first to provide services with Service Level Agreement (SLA) and payment of penalty for non-compliance effective quality (no penalty has ever been paid, all agreements have always been respected).

Over the years, Ophéa has successively been ahead in the providing of professional services in the following areas: optimization of SQL databases, NoSQL databases, Cloud Computing, Big Data technologies, development of customized database engines, Artificial Intelligence (AI), ...

In 2008 we have created a department dedicated to the specificities of IT services for the financial sector, both for traditional finance and for the specific needs of FinTech.
